I have the m80 V3 and have also heard the Tekton Pendragons. The Tekton's stregnth is that they sound BIG.like if you are in a large living room, the soundstage is simply BIG. Coupled with a specific tube amp the pendragon also produced a really impressive 3d soundstage. Having said that, I still preferred the Axiom M80's for their balanced tone and precise soundstage. Something about the tone of the Tekton's in the midrange left a little to be desired feeling a tad thin. I was actually about to buy the Pendragons based on the hype. But after having heard them, I decided, though they really did sound good, they were not for me. The Tekton's however are BIG, solid like a rock, and their paint finish is really nice looking. The only speakers I have heard that can compete with the Axiom's in terms of sounding similar in detail is the Sonus Faber Sonetto VIII. But this speaker did not have a lot of bass so I can't recommend it. The Paradim Studio V5 also felt like it was an upgrade to the axioms. These are really impressive speakers. Unfortuantely I didn't have a lot of time to spend with the speakers.
The Emotiva T2 had a slightly superior holographic tweeter to the Axiom m80 with its folded ribbon though I felt the Axiom may have edged out slightly in realistic tone especially when going louder. So perhaps if you wanted to see what else was out there check out the T3. If I was in the market for another passive speaker, The T2 line up or T3 line up would be my go to. The T2 really is an excellent speaker.

All of my speakers are Tekton, love them. The Double Impacts are phenomenal but possibly to large for your room. Give Eric a call, he's a great guy.

The issue on why I’m starting to look at new speakers points to the Axiom VP180 center. I’m my opinion it’s sounds terrible, small and constrained as if was a speaker that was 1/4 of the size… it just seems lifeless when watching movies. I’m using an RMC-1L as my processor
I’m on the Axiom M80 V2 and VP180 V4
Maybe I can play with my current set up a bit more to see if I can improve the sound, especially with the VP180 integration. The surrounds are all QS-8’s

IMHO, there was a BIG improvement from the Axiom M80 V2 and the M80 V3. I don't know if their center speakers improved similarly, but maybe?

The M80 latest version are $700 more than the Tekton. I could ask about the cost to upgrade my M80’s as they match all the other speakers or make a change

Think I’ll see if I can trade up my M80 V2 to V4’s to match my VP 180 center and QS-8 surrounds
Was able to trade up to M80 V4 on a nice deal. Now all of my Axioms will be the same version
