Hi!
I'm a music lover and usually play about 70% jazz fusion, 20% rock and 10% classical. Im also a musician and play trumpet, guitar and piano. I also produce indie films when I can.
In my day job I'm a Internet Security Engineer @ Amazon and in my spare time I do a little software and hardware design. I like to design Operating Systems and implement their hardware since I was a kid (I still have my "Wargames" IMSAI 8080).
Just picked up an RMC-1L, some A2+ and Vaulta's for the new home theater. Thought I should join the Lounge. Is there a happy hour? I'm pretty stoked to see that Emotiva's engineering and management are active here. Not going to get that with Denon, Onkyo etc. Seriously excited waiting for RMC-1L even this late in it's life. After I bought I read the old review by Anand at ASR and freaked out a little until I saw that Emotiva moved rapidly to fix the issues found. Now patched up to 3.1 and having newer gen chips it apparently will be able to do even eArc. I'm pretty sure It's going to do everything I need and more. One nice surprise was the SPDIF/Toslink audio out. I'm wanting to build a Linkwitz (praise his name) LxMini or LX521 at some point and I can't tell you the pain I was having snagging the preamp out in digital form from other AVRs I was looking at.
In any case it's great to be here and looking forward to being a member.

Welcome to the Lounge. Enjoy the journey setting up the new home theater. The XMC-2 that is the control center for my home theater is doing an awesome job. There are lots of very knowledgeable people here to help if you have questions!
Cheers!

Welcome to The Lounge sir, I have owned the XMC-1 and XMC-2(sold as I don't do 4K or Atmos) and the 2ch performance from them is really amazing, I listen to more music than surround so 2ch performance for me is very crucial, even my Sherbourn easily outclasses the Marantz processor I once owned.
Cheers, Chad

Hello from the Prairies! Welcome!
Does your IMSAI 8080 like to talk and play games?

Hello from the Prairies! Welcome! Does your IMSAI 8080 like to talk and play games? Yeah, but it keeps insisting on global thermonuclear war. I have no idea why.

Welcome, I am in Utah, where in the Rockies are you from? Denver (well Arvada) .. close enough.
Too bad they shut down the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. I loved that show. Someone needs to restart it.

Welcome to the Lounge. Long time member but not a very heavy poster. I am in Colorado Springs. You? Mark Denver. It's funny. I was setting up over-the-air TV yesterday on my NVidia Shield TV just because I like to watch local events, what passes for news, the Oscars etc. Setup the antenna and I can just barely pick up your TV stations in the Springs.
