Hello, first time posting here. I recently purchased a PT-7030 on eBay that has the digital popping sounds. It works okay on bypass but I accidentally connected the amp rca’s to the audio out on the 7030 and heard a loud pop from my speakers. Anyway, long story short, now I don’t get any sound output. could there be a blown fuse inside of the PT-7030?

So did you connect the cables while everything was powered on ? if so that's a no-no and something may have been damaged, can you troubleshoot if it's the amp or 7030 that now has the issue ?

I connected everything with 7030 off. I just changed amp channels and speaker outputs and still no sound. Did I blow something on the power supply? I’ve been trying to find a repair tech for the digital crackle sound to no avail. Techs can’t find a repair manual

Yeah if you have other gear you could swap in and out to rule out the amp or pre/pro, like any dac's or receivers that have RCA outs to connect to the amp, what is the equipment and speakers you have in your system so that we can get a better idea.

My mistake, I was using front inputs instead of outputs. Now I need to get the digital crackling figure out. It doesn’t happen when I use bypass. I’m using a Lavaudio usb dac between computer and 7030.
Thanks, Joel

Thanks, Joel My 7030 works 100% but I do also use the XLR input, my Mac Mini to a Grace SDAC Balanced then to my 7030, sounds oh so good, I got the 7030 for the cost of shipping a few years back as the owner thought the outputs were not working and the DAC costs $150 USD so I can't complain to much haha, glad you figured that part out. Cheers, Chad

Are you using bypass or stereo? If I use stereo I get digital noise/cracking so I use bypass.

Are you using bypass or stereo? If I use stereo I get digital noise/cracking so I use bypass. Using the XLR input I have it set to Bypass, my speakers are capable of full range so I prefer listening to music with just the L&R and no subs, I have tried Stereo in the past and did not have any crackling sounds though, just a thought and not sure if it would help but have you tried a full reset through the menu. Cheers, Chad

Sorry for late reply, I’ve done several resets through the menu to no avail. I think maybe a bad capacitor on the power supply?
