Used XMC-2

Hello. I have an opportunity to buy a used XMC-2 locally but it doesn’t have Dirac Live. Can Dirac Live be added to it if I purchase? Thanks in advance

On the XMC-2, RMC-1, and RMC-1L the Dirac Live license is associated with the actual hardware of the processor (the MAC address of the network interface).

Therefore, with any of those processors, if you download and install the current Dirac Live software, when you connect it to the processor it will automatically "license itself".

(This is NOT the case with our older XMC-1 processor.)

NOTE, however, that there is a separate little hardware box  - called the Network Interface Box - which is also required in order to use the processor with the Dirac Live software.

It's a separate little box, which is actually a Raspberry Pi or Beagle Bone micro-computer, running special software that provides an "interface" between the software and the processor.

When we sell the processor, it includes one of these interface boxes, and a calibrated microphone and digitizer cable to do with it... and they should be included if you purchase a used processor.

If you DON'T get the box and microphone we can sell you both...

Or you can buy a third-party calibrated microphone if you prefer...

The XMC-2 is also sold with a five year transferable warranty... and you will want to have the remainder of the warranty transferred to you...

(The warranty MUST be transferred to the new owner by a current owner who has a valid warranty... )
