I love my ERC-4 what burning software do you use to make CDs for it? I have tried a couple of different ones and they sound pretty good.

OK... here's the deal... As long as the software you use is making standard audio CDs then they should sound exactly the same no matter what software you use. There are a lot of things that matter in terms of how you RIP a CD... Or how you otherwise come up with the content you're going to burn onto it... And a lot of that depends on what you mean by "make CDs for it"... (Are you talking about simply ripping CDs and making copies or about extracting audio from Youtube videos or converting MP3 files into CD format?) And you may even find that some burning software is more reliable, or faster, with certain drives. But, at the point of actually burning the CD image onto the disc, whatever software you use, there should be no difference whatsoever in how they sound. (Regardless of what software you use, when you burn an ISO, you're starting with a full disc image, so you'd better end up with the exact same bits on the disc.) If you're starting with an existing ISO image... (that you've downloaded or created with some other software)... And just want to burn it onto a CD... Then the free version of BurnAware works just fine... If you're using the software to do a lot more stuff... Then most programs that can create or edit CD images also include an option for burning the actual discs... And they should all sound the same afterwards. As I said, for simply burning ISO images to disc, I generally use BurnAware (because it's really simple and I've found it to be quite reliable)... For other stuff like ripping I use dBPowerAmp - and it has a CD burning module or option somewhere in its set of functions... I love my ERC-4 what burning software do you use to make CDs for it? Thanks for the suggestions, I buy a lot of stuff on bandcamp and want to burn those files to disc , I have just noticed to me Emotivas player sounds a lot better than using the oppo usb in on the front via a small flash drive. I put in a old disc I burned twenty years ago or so with Roxio software and I really could not believe how good it sounded. So now I am a bit disc happy the difference is so good I wasn't ready for it

There are lots of great programs out there that do a lot more.... but you don't need them. (And some of the more complicated programs have a tendency to do other stuff you don't want them to without telling you.) BurnAware is a nice simple program that supports creating audio CDs from lossless audio files. And the free version will do exactly what you need.
