Dang it. Just when I got the 30 day trial for Tidal after getting my MQA DAC. SMSL DO300…
I guess I’ll be canceling this subscription and go with Amazon music, Apple Music and maybe Qobuz (3 month trial thanks to Axpona).
I enjoyed watching that green light turn on w MQA. Oh well.

Oh well. I had Tidal free for awhile, then paid for maybe a year. I liked it, but was not using it as much as I wanted to due to working and TV watching in the evenings. The $20 didn't seem worth it. I dropped it and picked up Apple Music which is cheaper. I really like Apple MUsic. I just recently signed on to Qubuz on a free trial. Sounds really good. I'll likely keep it. Having MQA was never a "pursuader" for me.

Apple Music doesn’t do well with streaming at least in my case using the bluesound node (I have to use AirPlay). Qobuz does seem promising as I can natively stream using the node. I’ll need to see the songs they have but the welcome to Qobuz playlist seems very interesting.

Bluesound has been saying for years that they were working with Apple to add natively. That has not happened. Apple probably wants too much money. I use Apple Music in the car or when going for a walk and it sounds great. It's also well organized. It's also part of a package that I get with Apple TV and their gaming platform which is shared between family members. Happy for the cost/value ratio. Believe it or not, it also sounds good via Bluetooth or Airplay. I use Qubuz mainly on the Node. I have not completely figured it out, but the sound is awesome.

Well hopefully that means that it’s a software update that will work with any node but we will see. I have the latest version which seems like it’s 2 years old. I also have Apple Music for the family. They all love it and so do I except when I want the best sound quality in my main system. All other systems and cars / headphones it works great. I’ll try the AirPlay today see how it goes. If Apple goes native on the node, then I can cancel my other subscriptions so there is that too.
