I hope they bring back the 1U rack mount for this. I guess a shelf will do for now.

The first batch we had air-shipped in went really fast. You won't have to wait too long for more... We're expecting to have the XDA-3 back in stock before the end of August (around August 20). Went to order and it says sold out. I hope restock doesn't take months

Now you're just being silly... The DAC landscape is highly competitive. Nice to see the XDA-3 a reality. Even sold out it seems. I am curious how it compares to the Eversolo Z8 DAC. Same exact money. View AttachmentNow how on Earth would anyone know which sounds better before Amir gets an XDA-3 to test? Your not suggesting that people should listen to them to determine the answer are you?

I didn't see them either and reached out with the response of "I was informed we currently don't have the 1 RU rack ears and don't have a set date to have them made and released just yet!" Seems crazy to not have these accessories aligned with a product release to support them. idk...

You mean that dude that sleeps with audio precision. An Audio Precision should smell so sweet. Now what you are doing smelling an Audio Precision. But anyway, the XDA-3 will rock the vote. It sold out didn't it? At this price range comparisons are in order. Whether that Audio Precision Dude says it data says whatever. Once again paralysis through analysis. Just get what you like. I am no hurry. I might get that XDA-3. Will be bitchin with My TEAC A-7300!

Listening to digital music using the XDA-3 is reminding me of what I missed with 2 channel stereo analog...

I just received my XDA yesterday. I've been waiting for this since it was announced. It was an easy way to HDMI Arc to my 2-channel room Where I play my PS5 Series X and listen to music. Unfortunately, I having major issues with HDMI Arc input. The audio keeps dropping out. it appears to having handshake issues. It's not occasional, it happens every 30 seconds or so. I ordered a new HDMI cable and I'm praying that the old one is the culprit, but before the XDA 3, I was using the Emotiva MC 1 in the setup and that HDMI arc was flawless before that I used a Marantz NR1200 and before that I used the HDMI arc on the Bluesound Node. There were no issues.
I'm really sad, I don't want to ship it back and wait for a replacement and then that works.

But the XDA-3 is more versatile in the type of files it can play.

Hi guys, new member here, just received my first Emotiva, a XDA-3. Still burning it in, but it's already sounding great. My only issue so far is the power cord. It needs a upgrade but none of my higher end cords use that funny plug. Not sure what it's called.
Anyone here can recommend a good replacement with that plug. I could put in a iec receptacle, but don't want to void the warranty yet.

I could put in a iec receptacle, but don't want to void the warranty yet. The XDA-3 consumes about 15 watts. A C7 18 gauge power cord can supply 2.3 amps all day. The C7 power cord could supply 18.4 XDA-3 DACs without strain. www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htmThere are prettier cords. I like the IEC cords with locking tabs. But, no adapter will replace the XDA-3 power input connector. A 3 pin adapter will do nothing for a 2 pin system without an earth connection. No replacement will improve the sound.
