Hello, been trying to set up speaker configuration on my MR1.

Basicly just trying an optical out of a TV into the optical in on the MR1.
I keep getting a shut down on the MR1 when I try to turn up the volume.
Any help is appreciated!

Need more info please.

Speaker model(s), connected via what type (gauge, etc) and length of cables?
Shut down occurs with what type of content? Music?
Is the shut down instantly upon changing volume, or after how long a period of time?
Does anything get warm or hot?
Is one of your children hiding somewhere with another remote playing a prank on you?

Hi, yea checked the kids, that would be too easy !
I have powered up only 3 times , the first time I was able to turn up the volume just a little past null and kept there for about 30 mins before it shut down. I thought it may have been too hot so I added a small fan. Powered up again and it played well same low volume until I powered off.
Third time I powered up, it shut off just as I tried to turn up the volume. Haven't tried since then.
I have new emotiva speaker cables and we'll maintained pair of Infinity RSII.
Double checked cable connections and optical cable.

Then power up with nothing connected, empty box.
If success, then add one speaker.
    If fail, try a different speaker.
If success, then add another speaker.
etc.
