To be honest we would have been quite happy if we'd been able to set the price lower... (Sadly, back when those UOMs were going for $129, heating oil was going for $1.25 a gallon too.) (And, yes, all those import duties you folks get stuck with in Canada also suck.) Unfortunately everything does cost more these days... And that includes design, materials, tooling, manufacturing, and shipping. And, to be fair, our new outdoor speakers are a lot nicer, and sound significantly better, than the old ones. They really are a big step up when it comes to both how they're made and how they sound. I would suggest waiting for reviews, or comments from folks who've actually purchased them, and heard them, before making any snap judgments.

I am in need of some new outdoor speakers as well and was excited when I saw these were released (I didn't know Emotiva previously had outdoor speakers) but yeah, $600 is way more than I am willing to spend.
I hope these get good reviews and sell well but I will unfortunately have to pass these up.

I understand everything is more now, it totally sucks as long gone are the days of decent pricing, even for you guys which was always a bonus especially for us Canadians paying duties, exchange and border fees, and to be honest my UOM's sound really good, just ask my neighbours bahahaha, at almost the price of a pair of T1+ they are quite pricey IMO but like you mentioned it must mirror the cost of design and build nowadays To be honest we would have been quite happy if we'd been able to set the price lower... When I saw these new outdoor speakers at AXPONA 2023 last month, I immediately thought these may be good option to use as overhead immersive channels for those that don’t want to cut into their ceiling for in-ceiling speakers. The bracket allows the speaker to be direct radiated at your listening area/MLP/couch, and attached to a stud in the ceiling(14.5lbs with bracket). If I had an Emotiva Airmotiv speaker setup, I’d be all over these for Atmos ceiling channels as long as they are closely voice matched to the Airmotiv line of speakers.

Indeed the price is high for outdoor speakers. Sonos outdoor passive are $900 so I guess Emotiva is cheaper in comparison. But you can find other brands for around $200 I was just hoping for say $400 as that is still about $600 for me, but sadly no, I can't believe the cost is so high to manufacture products compared to 7 years ago but here we are lol, I may go with Definitive Technology AW6500 as they are $700 CAD through Amazon, or can't believe I am saying this but maybe the Klipsch AW-650 for $549, the Emotiva ones will be more like $900 to $1000 said and done with all associated costs into Canada
