My deceased in-laws left my wife some savings bonds. But their names, as well as hers, are on the bonds. So the Federal Government, before they'll cash the bonds, wants certified death certificates for both of her parents.
Wife and parents weren't close, and both of her siblings are gone. So we're trying to find the actual death dates for her parents so that we can then obtain death certificates.
There are flocks of sites on the internet that claim to offer such information, but every one we've tried charges us $26 and then provides only the month and year of death (not the actual date).
We do know the birth dates of the parents, and the likely location of them when they passed away, but that's all.
Suggestions?
Thanks - Boom

I have a membership to Ancestry.com. If you can PM the names and birth dates and any other info you have (location, etc.) I can try to find death certificates. If that's of interest to you.

Thanks most kindly, Mr. cwmcobra - but another Lounger who is also a genealogist has kindly PM'd me and found the information I sought. Thanks kindly to ALL of you who have offered your help. It's quite a relief to me and my wife.
