Painting Vaulta Ceiling Grills

I think I read about this somewhere, but what's the recommended practice for painting the grills for Vaulta ceiling speakers?  I'm painting the front part of my home theater black and I need to paint the ceiling speaker grills the same color. The holes in the grills look small enough so they could easily be clogged by brushing or spraying.

Any ideas?

I know exactly how to paint grills!

Paint the face of the grill with whatever you like, brush, roller, whatever. Then, use a suction vacuum cleaner, shop vac, etc, on the back of the grill to suck all the paint out of every hole.

Easy!
