Hi all,
I've got an XMC-2 triggering and XPA-7, which triggers an Anthem amp. I had to reorganize my system and unplug everything for a few days. Reconnected it and now powering on my XMC-2 triggers nothing. Manually turning on myXPA-7 also doesn't trigger the Anthem. I checked in settings and triggers are on and I'm on FW 3.2.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks. Maybe trigger cable(s) got damaged in the move? Can you check continuity of the first cable and make sure they’re all fully seated? You sure the cable is in the same trigger port on the XMC-2? I don’t think manually powering the XPA-7 would activate its trigger port, but honestly haven’t tried it. These are all 3.5mm mono cables (though if they worked before that shouldn’t matter, just stereo can be more finicky).

Plugged into on of the IR ports next to it or cable not fully seated?

In addition to the suggestions above, make certain the cables being used for triggers are not audio cables. They look the same, but do not measure the same in Resistance.
It's possible to use a audio cable with 3.5mm plugs for a trigger and it will work, but not every combination of components will react the same.
Having said this, I'd disconnect both trigger cables and carefully reconnect them, and recheck the switches on the amps for trigger usage. They might indeed be in the wrong jacks as pointed out above. Just try one at a time. Keep things simple.

Also, ensure you go into the "trigger in" on the XPA-7. I have had amps with their own trigger power source when you turn on the amp regardless of an upstream trigger being used. I'm not sure if the XPA-7 has this. What Gen?

Thanks guys. Either the cable or the socket is being finicky. I had to unplug and replug it several times and it now works.

I think I have managed to fry a trigger port by not having everything off when moving components around or changing wires. It seems pretty stupid in retrospect, but intertwined wires pulling on each other can create a brief short and then kill the port. Luckily there was another trigger port for me to use, so as long as I don’t do that again …
