Hi. What is the remedy if my rmc1 doesen’t come past the start screen, it has been without power for 10 hours all cables except the xlr has been unplugged. View AttachmentI have not done the last updates since there was so many reporting problems. Thanks. It doesn't need to be unplugged for more than 5-10 minutes to clear internal power. So, after being unpowered, then rebooted, if you're met with the screen you posted, there's not much more that can be done except for a built-in series of tests. Switch off the rear power switch. Wait a few minutes. Press and HOLD the front power button and then switch on the rear power switch while still holding the front power switch until the front display shows a list of tests (about 6-7 seconds), then release. This part is very important: Wait 3 minutes for all internal circuits to fully bootup. Waiting less time will result in a FAIL, even if nothing is wrong. Initiate a test by arrowing up/down to the test and then arrow Right. To exit a test arrow Left. To restart the processor switch off the rear power switch, wait, then switch on the power switch. The Loopback Tests (#4) check the status of hardware, so this is the one you want to use to find out if a hardware circuit has failed.

Hi. Thanks. All tests work just not the loop one. So now what? Being located in Germany this really sucks. It does, sorry for your situation. There is a service center in Denmark, written about in this post, also talked about in a recent podcast. I’d say your best bet is to contact them. Edit: This page may be a good place to start. Emotiva-direct-in-europeEdit 2: This page is even better, and has contact info. International Support

Hi. Thanks. All tests work just not the loop one. So now what? Being located in Germany this really sucks. Rerun the test a few times - but don't switch off the processor. Just run the test, arrow left, then arrow right to run the test again. Do this a bunch of times just to make certain the test is not getting a false fail. But if you waited a full 3 minutes before doing the first test, it's probably accurate. sorry. So you'll need to do what AudioHTIT suggested.

My RMC-1 (3.2fw) has been operating perfectly for months now. It last had a clean and healthy shutdown, so I was surprised on Friday night when it wouldn’t boot up. It seems infinitely stuck with an amber ring around the power button and will not progress to blue.. I’ve attempted full power downs as well as checking fuses. It won’t even get to the list of tests screen when holding the power button and switching the rear power switch. That light goes amber and stays amber…. Any suggestions?

I would try unplugging it from the wall and disconnect HDMI cables. Let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Plug it back in, turn it on, and see if anything changes. If not, I would give Emotiva a call..... Someone else may have a better suggestion...
