In the planning stages to move towards an Atmos system. Currently my side surrounds are a bipole model - Atmos systems are recommended to have direct radiators. For aesthetic reasons, not wanting a full depth speaker on the side, so looking at options for a low-profile/not too deep speaker for that purpose. I've identified a couple that seem to fit that bill:
- Elac Debut 2.0 ow4.2 (by far the most budget-friendly, and overall smallest)
- Axiom M2 or M3 on-wall - by far the most expensive of any, even if I can snag a b-stock or refurb
- Klipsch RP-140d or 240d - these are in the middle of the other 2 price-wise, but given the horn tweeters, not sure they would play well with my current speakers, or any speakers I might get, unless I go full Klipsch setup
(Note, these all measure under 4-inches deep)
So, 2 questions:
1) Does anyone have experience with those particular Elac's? (I'm leaning towards these at the moment)
2) Does anyone know of a brand/model I'm missing?
Thanks in advance.
