Former Dire Straits guitarist Jack Sonni has died overnight.
In memory I'll be playing The Man's Too Strong when I get home from work.

Former Dire Straits guitarist Jack Sonni has died overnight. In memory I'll be playing The Man's Too Strong when I get home from work. Gary That is sad news. The album Brothers in arms is a favorite of mine, and was the first full digital CD I ever bought when the format came to the forefront. Now I never followed the band, closely enough to equate the personnel with the music… was he the vocalist on that album? (forgive my ignorance.) |

It’s a hell of a time to do it (perhaps) but I am doing a 30 year catch up on Dire Straits and figuring out that some of their tunes are great tunes to me and I’m enjoying the discovery process. As I’m getting into it, I have saved for later a couple of individual YouTube tracks +2 live performances from the early 90s.

It’s a hell of a time to do it (perhaps) but I am doing a 30 year catch up on Dire Straits and figuring out that some of their tunes are great tunes to me and I’m enjoying the discovery process. As I’m getting into it, I have saved for later a couple of individual YouTube tracks +2 live performances from the early 90s. Look for an SACD or DVD-A of Brothers' in Arms in 5.1 surround. |
