Hello all; I have an XPA-DR3 Amplifier as the main amp in my surround/Atmos system. That unit, along with the RMC-1, and another custom 8-channel Emotive amp for the surrounds, are all triggered & controlled by a Savant controller. Shortly after powering up the system, the XPA-DR3 will shut itself off (I watched the power status turn from blue to amber) and then the center led will blink red. Any suggestions and/or troubleshooting ideas?

I would isolate all connections related to that channel blinking red. Turn the amplifier on, and see if after a short time it goes back to blinking red, or it stays blue as it should. If it does, then plug back the interconnect and repeat. If it goes blinking red the interconnect could be suspect. If it stays blue instead, then the speaker connections. Would be the 1st steps I would do.

The solution turned out to be rather simple. I power cycled the unit, turning it off and back on with the main power switch on the back. According to the manual the blinking red is the result of a fault code of some kind, and power cycling the unit resets the code. So far, it has been working normally.
