Just got an email from Emotiva...great deal going on on SPEAKERS. However there is ONLY ONE model available š. So my question is why do a BLACK FRIDAY SALE and have NO STOCK ON SPEAKERS TO SELL.
If they are expecting a shipment, why not mention when they EXPECT THEM even if is until next year.
We can all make an order and charge our credit cards when they ship. We are adults and not kids. We can wait for SANTA to arrive...

Marketing trickā¦.keeps you interested. The only thing I want is a new remote for my ERC-3 cd playerā¦remote doesnāt work anymore. Perhaps itās the cd players remote sensorā¦..at this point, Iām using my 20 year old Marantz, which the remote still works. š³

Cathy Laufman said in the video podcast (posted three days ago) that a "big shipment" of speakers had arrived and would be available in the cart when the sale went live. In the details of that email that we received, it also says that the sale didn't go "live" until 11/23 @ 9 PM CST. When I checked at a little after 10 PM EST last night, all of the items were available as promised with the exception of one of the "factory renewed" models. At the time of my typing this response, the C1+ (new stock) has sold out as well as a few more of the factory renewed items (B1+, C1+ and the SE8 Subwoofer). All other items were available. So if what you're looking for is available, you'd better act fast. Historically, these do sell out quickly. EDIT: I just noticed in another thread that you're looking for T2's. Just be aware that the T2 is not an included model in the "Black Friday/Cyber Monday" sale. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the current T2's are gone for good. |

Not convinced anymore that the sale is real. I wanted a pair of B2+ for a "secondary" audio system in a room away from my main setup. Prices on the website look great, have so for a while. But either there is no stock and they are not wait-listing or offering rain checks, I asked. Or it fails with some error on checkout - because I am in Canada? Really? I got a very nice pair of Axiom M3 speakers instead. Not sure I still want to get the BasX TA2 I planned for that setup.

I have no idea what Emotiva's problem is with doing business in Canada. I can put the B2+ into my cart without a problem. On checkout they remove the speakers as being "not available in my region". Fair enough, I now bought speakers from a Canadian company, made in Canada. Usually, the Axiom Audio M3 are close to twice as expensive as the B2+, but B-Stock with a Black Friday special brought them down to a bit below the B2+ sale price. All good.

One a total re-do when the buttons failed. They were some kind of conductive rubber which gradually wore out.....I replaced with Momentary Contact switches and quite a few delicate solder joints. Not recommended IF no soldering experience. Other remote? A straight disassemble / clean...... Image from my DTV remote which needed a good cleaning. Too many 'sticky' hands.....now fine...... I may do the SAME to my Logitech 665 (or whatever #) since replacements are now in the hundreds and I'm not convinced that SofaBaton is ready for prime time.....The OTHER alternative? Really a lot of $$$ so that's on hold, too...... Attachments:

The āNOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLEā button would be on the product page for the T1+. But if the T1+ has been removed from the website, theyāre likely gone for good. The best way to know for sure is to contact Emotiva directly and ask if theyāre expecting one last shipment. While youāre at it, you could also inquire if āB Stockā might be available. It would be my guess that since almost all of the current product line has disappeared from the website, they have sold out entirely and their new replacements will appear very soon. |
