Finally got arount to testing various inputs for sound quality on my Basx MC1 7.1.6 setup, after adding the (2) Overhead mid Airmotiv Vaulta speakers. I noticed a definitive hiss mostly from the overhead speakers, which increased with volume, when playing media from the Firestick, and a Sony Blu Ray Player. No such issue when playing Air Channel TV stations, or Blue Tooth IPOD music. Setup is all good - high quality HDMI & RCA Cables and OFC copper Speaker Wire, connections good, EMO Q set up successful, etc. Front, Center, and (6) Height speakers all Emotiva stuff. Firestick and Sony BR are plugged into MC1 HDMI inputs. Tried playing with different Modes - Pure and Direct modes were better, Dolby Upmix and all other modes are not good and unacceptable. Then went into the Firestick settings, and turned OFF the Sound Leveling and Dialog Enhancer settings, and MUCH better. Anyone else in the Forum have similar issues? Suggestions, like remove the Firestick HDMI Extender, or something additional to tweak in the settings menus?
