Hello,
I am hoping to get advice and guidance on connecting this new equipment.
I wish to make connections to support the best possible audio and video.
I am willing to purchase additional or different equipment if needed.
The new equipment is XDA-3 Differential Reference DAC / Preamp, and two XPA-DR1 Differential Reference™ Monoblock Power Amplifiers.
Recently ordered, not yet delivered. Perhaps I should choose something beside the XDA-3?
I have a decent understanding of electrical and electronics, but some of this technology is a bit new for me.
I have ordered two XLR cables for connecting balanced between the XDA-3, and the two XPA-DR1’s.
I hope I’ve made a decent choice. Please advise if I should choose something different? I am interested in choosing high quality XLR cables. I am unsure if this is very important in XLR cables? Audio-Technica ATR-MCX Female to Male XLR Microphone Instrument Cable, 30 Foot

I am currently using an Amazon Firestick 4K Max HDMI for video and Amazon Music. All-new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max streaming device
I currently have the firestick connected first to an old Marantz SR7002 receiver,
then HDMI video out from the receiver to the television.
Neither the receiver nor the TV have HDMI (Arc).
The Marantz SR7002 receiver does not have balanced XLR outputs. It does have digital out optical and coax. I’m not sure if this will degrade the signal if it is used prior to the XDA-3.
Though the Marantz SR7002 has two HDMI outputs, I think only 1 at a time can be used. Receiver and TV back panels are in photo’s attached. Marantz SR7002 Receiver Review | Audioholics
I am unsure the best way to make connections, and I’m not sure if I need additional equipment or a newer TV with HDMI (Arc)?
I’m not sure if I should keep the Marantz SR7002 receiver connected in service, or if it will cause a degraded signal?
I like the idea of its Audessey room correction, and adjustable crossover, but I can do without that if needed.
If I connect the Firestick HDMI to the XDA-3 Differential Reference DAC / Preamp, I’m not sure how to get video to the TV?
Is this a good idea? Firestick HDMI > Marantz SR7002 receiver > then receiver HDMI out to XDA-3 Differential Reference DAC / Preamp?
Is it better for the Firestick HDMI to connect to the XDA-3 first?
Is an HDMI splitter a good idea?
Should I use digital Coax or Optical between the XDA-3 and Receiver? Or lose the receiver altogether and use digital between the XDA-3 and television?
Also, I have a single subwoofer connected with LFE coax to the old receiver. I’m not sure how to connect it to the XDA-3 if it’s a good idea to lose the old receiver?
Advice?
