After buying a new set of T2+ and being pretty impressed with them, I ordered a C1+ to replace my old Klipsch center channel and match the looks of the T2+.
I have been a bit disappointed with the sound of the C1+ so far. While I certainly didn't expect it to match the T2+ in output or bandwidth, I am finding the sound to be a bit "boxy" and thin to my ear.
It's being driven by a Denon AVR (for now) @ 110w (supposedly) with a flat EQ. I tried to let Audyssey do its thing and immediately canned its EQ settings as it was trying to max out several bands of EQ.
I've obviously not removed a driver to inspect the box for polyfill or other material. It almost sounds like it could benefit from additional stuffing to help with the "boxy" (to me) sound. Does anyone think this may help or does anyone have any EQ suggestions to try?
Thanks for the add!

I had a center speaker with a boxy sound to it. I was able to become happy with it once I raised the crossover setting above the boxy-resonance, which was pretty high, but it worked.
Try this. Turn off any subwoofers and all amplifiers for channels other than the Center Channel or disconnect those channel outputs from the processor. Then play a section of audio for the Center Channel that can produce an obvious boxy sound while trying various crossover settings. I would begin with the crossover set at the highest setting possible to see if your complaint can be satisfied at all, and if so, then try lower settings until the boxy sound is exhibited.
In my case, I had to use a crossover setting of 170Hz.
