Concerning: XLR cables for connecting balanced between the XDA-3, and two XPA-DR1โs. Should I be concerned about quality? Namebrand?
Are these decent?

I use Quad balanced cable. Canare, Belden, and Mogami. All are relatively inexpensive compared to boutique cable. Try "World's Best Cables" - at Amazon. All are as good as it gets.
If you roll your own, Markertek is a great supplier.
I used a lot of Canare and Belden in profession applications. I have 25' runs of Canare L-4E6S quad for balanced line level analog in my system.
I have no idea what "low memory for ease of use/storage 6 Gigabits Per Second" is supposed to mean with an analog balanced cable.
The best connectors are Neutrik. Amphenol are also very good. "World's Best Cables" uses both. I use both.

I've tried Worlds Best Cables and don't know if they are "world's best" but they are excellent quality and reasonably priced, considering the high reputation of the brands they use for their cables. I wouldn't hesitate to use them. Another excellent company is Blue Jeans Cables. What is good about them and WBC is that they don't try and make up stupid stories about how their cables sound better than others but they focus on the quality of the materials and construction.

The important thing is to use Quad Cable. Use it for line level analog and speaker level analog. Quad cable is best in noisy environments and has no flaws in a quiet environment. I assume a noisy environment. Belden, Canare, and Mogami all have good Quad Cables. Neutrik and Amphenol are good connectors. Pick your method and supplier. FWIW - My 40 year old Grado Signature tone arm uses Quad Mogami 2534 in the run from the cartridge/tone-arm to the phono preamp. Best cable. Very quiet.

I know you already purchased, but I just wanted to let you know that you made a great decision. I've been using Canare and Mogami cables for 15+ years now... zero complaints... zero regrets.

IMHO, cables make little to no difference with XLR. Single ended? More so, but still not much.

Make your own, seriously, it's not hard. Starting with cable mogamicable.com/category/bulk/microphone/quad/ I'd personally use STUDIO in-wall cable....... Than you need some tools.....a Good soldering station is highly recommended as are a selection of hand tools....The usual suspects, but again.....good quality. Than you need the SKILLS.....Soldering is a little tougher than it looks and even the selection OF solder matters. I use old-school Lead-Tin from KESTER.....my only choice... Probably need Heat Shrink, too. And MAKE SURE of the wiring.....

Yes it does take a little patience at first, but I have no background or experience in electronics in anyway and I managed to make about 16 XLR cables using quad core mic cable and Neutrik interconnects. Admittedly the first couple were rubbish, but I kept persevering and in the end it was quite satisfying. Oh and you would also need a cable tester, so you know you haven't stuffed up the wiring!

Most basic DVM should take the place of whatever a 'cable tester' is....... Also? making bad cables is a poor way to learn to solder......I'd recommend either finding a tech who will teach, or going to the local JC and find a class. ME? I was soldering for YEARS before I had some help. In the form of a buddy who was Mil Spec certified. HE really brought me up to speed........

I learnt from this guy on youtube. Really good tips. Making Quality XLR Cables #4 - Quad Mic Cables
Incidentally, these cables I made cost me a fraction of the price of "High end" cables and as they are quad core would be the pants off any twin core store bought product due to additional noise rejection properties.

Donโt go ape on cables. Canare Or Mogami all you need. Trust worthy, and not spending the life savings to get. Amazon sells a brand called the worldโs best cable with Mogami cores and Neutrik XLR terminations. Trustworthy and you need nothing else.
Sound transmission and reliability all these things do without the high price and mystical bullschitt of high end audio folklore. Professional sound guys on site depend on Canare and Mogami as their cable. Done!
