In my DIY LX521.4 Speakers (Madisound kit) I am using a BasX A6 and BasX A4 to directly drive 10 drivers (see photo). The two woofers in each speaker are driven with the same signal so I need and active dsp crossover with two input (stereo) and 8 output channels. I am using a miniDSP Flex 8 for the equalization and crossovers (it can be ordered with Dirac Live). The input to the Flex 8 is digital (usb, toslink, spdif, or wifi). A homemade HTPC running Ubuntu 22.04 and Kodi drives the system.
Here is a review of the commercial version of the LX521.4
Note the cost of my DIY version including amplifiers and crossover was about 5.5 k$. The commercial version is from Germany and the cost of the speakers and electronics is 24 k$. The commercial version used an analog active crossover with the correct equalization.
Note that I tried surround sound with conventional speakers and was not impressed. This stereo system sounds much better to me. Linkwitz Store
The crossover and equalization provided by the Flex 8 are shown in this graph

Very nice job. Well done. Are you single or divorced?😂 Siegfried’s goal was to design the best possible audiophile quality stereo speaker pair at an affordable price. Apparently the guy's in Germany overlooked the affordable goal.

I've long been tempted to build a pair of the LX521s, but now with the KEF Blades in too deep!
Enjoy!
