I am trying to update to the new firmware on the MR1 and I have put on a fat32 usb and inserted. Went to about software update and update. It restarted and says Waiting upgrade U disk is found......
It has been on this a while. What do I do?

(I think I talked to you on the phone... but this may still help someone else...  ) The update should start pretty quickly... You could also try powering the unit off and on again with the stick inserted. (The update should work when you do it this way OR when you do it from the menu... but sometimes one way or the other works better.) The first thing to check is that you have the correct firmware file - they are different for the MC1, MR1, and MR1L. If you get the wrong one it will not install. The second thing is to make sure you have a file that is NOT ZIPped. (If you downloaded it from the Forum then it should be OK; if we e-mailed it to you then you probably need to UNZIP it.) And, finally, many of our processors don't like a USB stick that was formatted on an Apple computer (they use a non-standard FAT boot sector). (It's OK to download and copy the file on an Apple computer.) If this applies to you then try a nice new USB stick that came "formatted for Windows or Apple computers". Yes it was me you talked to. I put it on another usb drive and it executed upon trying the update through the update menu. At first it said udisk found. need upg..... or something like that. I pulled out usb and back in then it started asap.
