I already bought an MR1 and was planning on going with the new Xt2/Xc2 when available. But got recommendation from Emotiva support that the Xt1/Xc1 would be better with the MR1 due to power requirements. The room is an 18'x18' living room with 10' ceilings open to other parts of the house. I'm not necessarily opposed to the Xt1/Xc2 if it will work well in my space (just want it to sound good; don't need to listen at deafening levels). So my questions are these: - Anyone with the new Xt1/Xc1 combo - general opinions of them?, and thoughts about those in my size room?
- If the difference between Xt1/Xc1 and Xt2/Xc2 would make a significant difference, my options would be: 1) try to use the MR1 for them anyway - thoughts? Or add something like the A3 amp to power them.
- Anyone out there using the Xc2 with the MR1?
- The cost difference between the Xt1/Xc1 and Xt2/Xc2 plus the A3 amp isn't insignificant - so would it be a noticeable/meaningful difference? If so, in what way? Only if I want to crank them super loud?
Would appreciate any experience or opinions. Thanks.

Apportion some part of the budget to make the room better....... Absorption or diffusion would be where to start.....\ Layout is critical......You may want to do some 'setup' research and look at the CARDAS website. Stereophile and others also have setup helps.
Keep in mind the room is cubic feet....not 'square'. As such, you need plenty of woofer or maybe even a couple subs to excite such a large space.
18x18x10 is over 3200 cubic feet....plus the attached areas.
might add that SQUARE is a deal breaker, mainly.
