PT2 and A2 Trigger issues?

Received my PT2 and A2 last week and gleefully hooked them up to my Wharfdale Modus one.six speakers and Mirages Omni S12 sub.
The sound was all I had hoped for until the music stopped.
Then started again.
After a few days of trying to figure out the problem (and a call to Emotiva), I have discovered that the trigger circuit seems to be at fault. I swapped in a new cable to no effect (amp still randomly powering off). 
I unhooked the cable and have been running the amp without a problem since.
I am a fairly savvy guy and thought about opening them up to see if I can spot a faulty wire or connection, but the other side of me says just sent it in.

Anyone else encounter "triggering" problems??

Do you have the A2 with the switch in the ON position??
In “Auto” position it will shut off if the signal is not present or if it’s too quiet
