Hi, I bought a new Xda-3 DAC/preamp a couple months ago. I'm using foobar2000 latest version (64bit, 2.1.2) with all the latest supersacd and dsd+asio components either exclusive mode USB or ASIO driver connection to the Xda-3 DAC. Windows 11 PC, with i7-9700 CPU and plenty of memory and disk.
Somehow, occationally I experience random hiccup of audio playing music. The problem comes and goes, definitely not audio file issue or streaming issue as I used the same setup with another vendor of DAC before without noticing such issue.
Has Xda-3 ASIO driver being fully tested on Windows 11 PC?
Or there is issue with my Xda-3 hardware?
Any tip to workaround this?

We tested the XDA-3 with Windows 11 and didn't see any issues. That also doesn't really sound like a typical hardware issue. Usually, when we see "random hiccoughs", and the source is a computer, it happens because some other process is "stealing priority". This can be something like an update demanding either CPU or network priority... Or even something transferring something into or out of a disc cache (which can result in a priority CPU request "waiting behind a disc access"). Unfortunately, if you're using DSD, and all of the extra ASIO stuff, that's a lot of separate layers, interacting with Windows and each other. And, of course, Microsoft updates Windows 11 quite frequently, which can also change or "break" things. To be quite honest WE haven't been hearing abut a lot of USB audio issues related to Windows 11. However, IN GENERAL, it seems like a lot of people have been having issues with USB audio in Windows 11. Some suggestions for solutions include updating your system drivers (especially including graphics card drivers)... And adjusting your power settings (things like disabling "USB selective suspend" under "Advanced Power Settings"). Here is an excellent tool for analyzing this sort of thing: www.resplendence.com/latencymonAn interesting "exercise" is to watch the main status screen WHILE DOING THINGS. (This program also makes suggestions about how to improve issues that it finds.) NOTE that not everything this program reports will be a "real problem"... But it will offer you some guidance about what to look for. In the case where you are actually experiencing problems... like dropouts... Watch the screen and note what "complaints" pop up WHEN A DROPOUT OCCURS. (So... for example... if you get a dropout and, at the same time, the program reports "an excessively long response time from your graphics card driver". )
