I have a periodic need for tiny (TINY) screwdrivers, hex tools, and specialty tools. For flat-head screws, I have a good set of jewelers screwdrivers. However, today, I was trying to install some fancy banana plugs on the ends of some speaker wires. The two screws per banana plug have (tiny) hex-head sockets on the setscrews. I have not one but two cheap (CHEAP) Chinese tool kits, but every time I use one of the bits, the metal is so soft that it rounds off, and the tip is a throwaway. The sets I've got: Looking on Amazon, I see prices from $15 per set up to $150 or more. What's the sweet spot (price & brand) for a good micro tool set? Thanks - Glenn

The guy who gave me the set is a professional jeweler, not enough time with it to decide for myself, but the metal appears to be hardened and up to the task. The kits’ got little guys in there that I never even thought about having.

“Wera” is what I consider to be the best of the micro-tool brands.

“Wera” is what I consider to be the best of the micro-tool brands. The thing I like the most about the one that was given to me is that it’s huge…… I mean, I would think typically it would be nearly impossible not to find something in that little box that isn’t the fit nothing worse than having one that almost fits………
