I'm picky about vinyl and aside from Norah Jones ( some of her early works were recorded on analog tape and DSD and PCM at the same time), only go for items that were recorded on analog tape. I usually only go for The Beatles and Jazz, I'm going to add classic rock to the vinyl collection for sure. Things just transfer better on vinyl that have old sources. I have a few classic rock Super audio disk that just sound too sharp and forward and not natural. Something is off about them. Loud noises isn't better. Not anti digital at all, just seem to like older analog original recordings on quality vinyl pressings more than what I've heard on digital counter parts.

Walmart has enough “exclusive” items to blow your head apart. Perhaps not so exclusive

Pressings seem to take place at QRP, so who care's that it's sold at Walmart. www.qualityrecordpressings.comA quality 180gram pressing, is a quality 180gram pressing. I don't care where it comes from. They are under pricing other stores. While, not the biggest Wally World fan (I kinda used to avoid them), in the case of modern over priced vinyl records, I don't care if it's a Walmart exclusive. I don't want to spent an extra 20-30 bucks because it came from Music Direct.

For the vinyl fans.. I listened again this weekend. The surface noise was so clean, that I had to make sure things were actually turned on. I thought I forgot something till the music started playing. I didn't pre clean, only used a carbon brush to remove any dust and static. A seriously good pressing. I wish they were all like that.

You are reminding me that of all the music and film. I enjoy these days here in the 21st-century…… Noise is the last thing I ever think about.
