Currently running a 5.2.2 system based on a 3500h, XPA-2 G1, and LSiM703s in L/R position. Listen to most music in stereo and really enjoy it. Could nab up an XSP-1 for what seems a good deal and curious if I will hear improved 2 channel with it vs the Denon? I already listen in L/R bypass and dynamic volume off. Plan is to run 4k player to Denon and BDP-103 to the XSP-1 for CD, DVD-AUDIO, and SACD listening.
Any insights are appreciated. Thanks!

I would have to assume you would get superior 2ch performance with the XSP-1, even my XMC-1 I owned was vastly superior to my Maranta processor for 2ch use, in the end though only you could say if it is better in your room to your ears, gear, room acoustics and speakers play a big part of the synergy.
Currently I'm loving my SMSL DO400, Freya+, Emotiva MPS-1 (2 Amp Blades installed) and my Chane 753 speakers, the music is absolutely stunning to my ears.
Cheers, Chad

There could be a 2-channel improvement with the XSP-1, but only if you use it in the pure analog mode (no digital processing whatsoever); Even better, if you could use it in the full discrete balanced mode. That being said, if the deal on the XSP-1 is really good and the unit is immaculate, I would jump on it because this preamp is unique with its fully discrete balanced design.
