Looking for a recommendation on a XLR switch box... This would be a 2 IN and 1 OUT application. Basically, I want a switch box so I can easily go between my Marantz pre pro and my Schiit Freya pre. So it would be the L and R signal OUT from the Marantz and the L and R signal OUT from the Freya going to a switch that will determine whether the Marantz or the Freya feeds the amps. I found such a device called the One Little Bear by Douk. Anyone familiar with this one or any other switch that would do the job without a noticeable sacrifice in sound quality?

If I recall correctly, the Freya has a HT bypass.

If I recall correctly, the Freya has a HT bypass. Not exactly. I switch the Freya into Passive mode and switch to the input with the Marantz. Then I turn the volume to Max. It works fine, but I’d rather just turn a knob to safely switch back and forth without worrying about the volume setting.

Ah yea... forgot that you needed to turn the volume to max.

Not exactly an apple to apple comparison by I needed a fully balanced xlr volume control for my system and I purchased a Douk Audio unit that also had rca in/out and let me choose which in with what out and visa versa. It was a passive unit and had absolutely no effect on sound quality. It just worked while being audibly invisible . I looked up the unit your talking about on Amazon, seems they have a 3in 1 out and a 1in 3 out version, they are also passive. If I found myself in need of such a unit I wouldn't think twice about buying it based on my experience with their products.

Seems like this unit meets your needs, doubt you’d hear a difference, and the price is right.

I made the purchase and just received it. It appears very well built, but I haven’t hooked it up yet. Its the first of two additions to my 2.1 system, and I’m still waiting on the second, a Marchand XM66 crossover.
