Hi
I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I don't really understand. I am using the Basx PT-1 preamplifier.
I dont understand why the crossover on this unit is at 90 Hz. My floorstanding speakers go down to 38hz and so I am using the subwoofer's crossover at 60hz and volume but for some reason the bass is very weak. I want to try the PT-1's crossover option but 90 Hz seems too high
I hope that made sense.
Thanks Howie

I don’t know if anyone here can tell you why, other than for the BasX line, they chose a fixed crossover, and thought 90Hz would work for most of the speakers people would pair with these. For a processor, where the THX recommended crossover is 80Hz, 90 isn’t that far off, but I’d agree for a stereo preamp, 90Hz seems high. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s much you can do about it.
