The Florida Big Bend looks to be getting some ugly weather Sunday evening/Monday morning. The uncertainty of the intensity, at this point, of this tropical cyclone is the big question mark. There is no such thing as “ONLY” a Tropical Storm, I know first hand. Anyhow for those of you in possible impact areas, please be prepared. Go turn your generators on and make sure they’re running properly, have plenty of water, and remove lose stuff out of the yard.. I just hope this system remains relatively unorganized.

All too familiar with these unpredictable storms! Be prepared and keep your head down if you’re staying! God Bless!

I'm leaving Louisiana on Tuesday for a conference in Denver. I don't like to leave my wife alone when there's a storm in the Gulf, but this one looks (at least for now) like it's Florida bound, so I'll probably go.
Y'all who live in Florida, batten down and be safe!

We were 1 mile from where Ian made landfall and made out fairly well. This one is a breezy/rainy day by comparison; bring it. Scott

So far we're just wet... very very wet. Not sure if you guys have had any tornado warnings / watches, but I don't recall having any with Ian... so far, we've had 5 tonight and a few were 5 miles or less away.

Just an update while the power/internet still remains on(4:35am), I’ve been watching the actual satellite movement of Tropical Cyclone(Hurricane)Debby on “zoom.earth”, it was supposed to remain moving due north as it passed off the west coast of Tampa and then veer off NE right before reaching the Tallahassee area, instead it took a slight NNE movement and thus far maintained that path taking it away from my area and somewhat more to the east for now. Things could easily change in the coming hours, and this just shows what a slight shift in movement one way or another this can make in all kinds of weather aspects. Hopefully I’ll be able to post another update in a few hours.

So far so good, Tallahassee is fairing well all due to the early NE turn of Debby. Mainly a rain event with up to 30 mph wind gusts.

Looks like your on the leeward side so hopefully you won't get much flooding. Fingers crossed.
