Hello, I just received a like mint Emotiva XPA-5 Gen2 today.. bought from ebay.
Anyways it all looks great.. original double box is mint and the unit is fresh looking!
Prob is wheb I get to the power plug.. its not the usual 3 prog plug with ground.
It's no dou t a emotiva power plug.. maybe for a DC-1 or CD Player..
Is this safe to run with this 2 prong cable or should I be looking to get the right one?

The power connector on the amp only has two prongs, so a third prong in a power cable won't be doing anything.

Just don't take your new amp in the Pool or Shower with you......while playing......

I wouldn't recommend that regardless of how many prongs the power cable has...

It seems most “hum” or “noise” these days usually has the source or faulty cable/connection being the culprit. I’ve been utilizing high power amps. Since the seventies and NONE of them had the third rail!

The Neutral (white, usually) and Ground (always green) meet at the box......where you will typically find the connection (largish wire) to the ground rod, driven into the soil.....they meet at the 'neutral bar' in the box. I can think of at least one good reason NOT to have a 'ground' wire on the amp.......Most amps have common ground channels which are at chassis potential...... Will that work with the rest of the system having a 2nd path to ground thru the 'green'? I don't know.
