Hi, I have a Emotiva System that is a RSP-2 pre-amp and XPA-1 mono block amps. I was listening to it the other day and all the sudden the left channel went very low, turning the balance knob had to be turned all the way left for the right channel to play at the same volume. I tried different speaker cables, RCA connects, tested the XPA-1 amp and discovered that it's coming from the RSP-2 preamp left channel pre-out, even if I only have the RSP-2 preamp on and test with the headphones, the same problem is with the headphone jack too, that the left channel is much lower than the right.
I contacted Emotiva but they said the don't service this model anymore. It's very disappointing because this system is like brand new in mint condition with not much usage on it with my long work hours over the years, I would think it would last longer than this.
Can anyone tell me if you have had this problem with a preamp before and maybe what the problem might be and if I can fix it? Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks, J.Clint

I would suggest asking Emotiva if they can provide the schematics to you so that you might be able to find a local tech to repair.
