I knew same questions was asked before but didn't get any positive answers so what is the difference between two? I do have both connected to Panamax Power conditioner.

The CMX2+ adds surge protection which the original CMX2 did not provide. That's all! Returning CMX2+ There may be other improvements inside but I don't know what they might be other than the added surge protection. I don't believe the Panamax provides the DC Offset elimination of the CMX2.

We don't know what you are using with the Panamax. The CMX is not current limiting unlike many other power managers are. I used Panamax for years for low draw stuff. Did well best I could tell. The CMX are ideal for what was said above with DC offset and so on. I have my Parasounds and Emotiva BAS-X and it does well. My experience anyway.

And... with only 2 ports on the CMX2(+), to get more can one plug a CMX6 (loaded with components) into a CMX2, or does that defeat the purpose of the DC offset elimination (it would seem to). So, then two CMX2's plugged into another CMX2, to get 4 ports? Getting expensive! I have an extra separate 20ohm socket currently for just the main multi-amp-module and one subwoofer (on a cmx2), but there is another subwoofer, currently on a Monoprice power strip with all the other components (TV, pre-processor, etc) on a different wall circuit.
Hmmm... maybe with just one more CMX2(+), move both of the CMX2's to the wall circuit with two wall plugs, and the rest of the components can stay on the Monoprice power strip on the separate circuit - move the XMC-2 onto one of the CMX2's, so that it, the big amp and the two subwoofers are on CMX2's?
Otherwise, my current config seems fine, no DC offset hum, so yes I could just leave things alone. I don't know if the Monoprice power strip is limiting the extra subwoofer.
