Emotiva Bas TA1 Integrated Amplifier

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me here.
I bought this unit around 18 months ago. It's been working fine up till yesterday.
Let me firstly say I'm far from an expert anything but .
To add to the matters I'm now disabled and in a wheelchair so accessing thing at the back of my hifi unit is not the easiest.
Anyhow, this afternoon I decided to run an optical cable from my Samsung one box out put to the optical in on the back of the TA1 to get a richer sound.
Everything seemed fine sound came through the speakers as I was Hoping.
It's when I reverted back to listening to my normal streamed music that well nothing came out .
I rebooted everything, streamer, WiFi, TA 1 removed the optical cable and also switch off the electric for a while, nothing.
and now as I attempt to run thing again the unit is bouncing onto standby mode 

Has anyone any helpful advice?

I know the unit is still within its warranty, however it would be a real upheaval, I'd likely have to wait for in-laws to come over to wire down the unit and pack it up to be repaired. Plus I can't for the love of me if it’s something simple ( hopefully) really want to unwrap the spaghetti at the back what with all my other units .

I’m not so convinced just yet your unit is defective.  Sounds more to me like you have an incorrect input type selected.  Double and triple check each connection.  Just my .02.

I appreciate your response. I double checked all the connections, my unit response is correct. My music streaming comes via a Bluesound Node , The Preamp goes through the various systems switching on The unit lights up Emotiva comes up in Blue All responding Digital channel come up Coax ,USB,BT,OPT then onto Analog CD ,AUX PHONO , FM  these all appear however no sound not a squeak coming through my speakers, I’ve tried the Node via the headphones  connection it's fine.
.  I try the Emotiva preamp via the headphones, nothing? 

oh I now see on a couple of occasions the unit is jumping back onto standby mode itself..I’m at a loss..

Hmmmm, I still think it’s going to be an easy fix. It just sounds like an input type selection error. Were you using the DAC before in the Bluesound or the Preamp? Maybe take a pic of your rear connections. I used to have a Bluesound Node but don’t recall off the top of my head if I had to change any output settings on it (analog, coax, optical). The Bluesound works fine with your headphones since it’s using its DAC. Hard to troubleshoot like this but I just have a hard time thinking your Preamp suddenly died by just adding an optical input. Do you have the TV connected to the Bluesound via HDMI?  Gotta be something simple.

Thanks again for your help. It’s too difficult for me to get a photo of behind the preamp . I may be able to get one in a few days when my friend visits.
Prior to running the optical from my Samsung tv,s “one box” into the preamps optical . The tv sounds ran via it’s dedicated soundbar which connects from the sound bar to the “one box” via HDMI- eARC  I disconnect that prior to trying the optical from the one box to the Emotiva.
