Preamp that fits the same footprint as A2m / A-100 Mini X?

Hi all,

Has Emotiva considered production of a preamp that fits the exact same footprint as the A2m / A-100 MiniX ?


I've had an A-100 for years and like it's small footprint in my listening room's setup.  I wanted to get a preamp to pair with it but all the Emotiva Preamps are wide and do not fit into my space, so I've found myself cobbling together separates like small phono pre-amps, switches, and  even a small tone control. 

It would be nice to consolidate this all into a pre-amp that could partner with the A-100 / A2m in the exact same footprint for those of us with space constraints. 

Has Emotiva considered this or is something in development? I feel that it would be a big hit, especially in the headphone market where many people use A2ms at desks or in small room setups with record players and PCs connected near our desks.

Even an elongated version of the  Ta1 (which is too wide for my setup) in the same footprint as the A2m would be cool.

In the last podcast they announced a stack of such components. If I remember correctly they are an "executive" stack. Check the last podcast for more info, my memory is definitely suspect ;-) Oh, I don't know what their exact footprint is, but we're talking small.

Percussionista, I gave a listen to the podcast and it sounds like the executive stack might be a competitor to computer desktop stacks like Schiit Audio or JDS Labs? I guess we'll have to wait and see. I still think it would be great to see a proper preamp to pair with the A2M formfactor; something with a phono pre, a couple of Aux ins a toslink in and a Bluetooth connection.

I have the DC-1 which was part of the proposed executive stack back then. It fits my A-100 width. The main difference is that the A-100 is substantially deeper.
Personally I think the superior solution to the A-100 DC-1 stack is the Emotiva DC-1 with the Emotiva PA-1. Those two together were a really potent combination and fit together really nicely.
