Is it just me or is this thing labeled the XRF-7 (bottom right corner)? In any case that XPR-7 is amazing amplifier. My jaw still drops down just looking at the pictures even. Incredible how much there is inside for so little out of the wallet, all considered.

Is it just me or is this thing labeled the XRF-7 (bottom right corner)? That's because it works using X-ray Fluorescence.

Has the digital technology used in this amp been discussed yet? I wonder if it is class-I?

Has the digital technology used in this amp been discussed yet? I wonder if it is class-I? its a class H amp. Its been used before in previous designs like the MPS-1 and 2, IPS-1, RPA-1 and 2. Instrad of having individual power supplies for each channel though like past models, each channel feeds off of one massive power supply.

Can't decide between the XPR and use my Yamaha RX-V3800 as the preamp or buy the XPA-5, UMC-1, ERC-1 and interconnects for similar money...... hmmmm.

For some reason I thought they were changing it up for the XPR-7, but after re-listening to the 06/05/09 webcast, i see they refer to the XPR-7 as a "new class H". Interesting enough, Mark Levinson just showed off their new No. 500H series amplifiers.

Interesting, I didn't know anybody used Speakon for AC connection. Normally it's for cables going between amplifier output and passive speaker input.

Since Emo stated that they are 100%, all hands-on-deck, to get the UMC done, should I assume that the release of the XPR-7 will be delayed due to the UMC delays?
If so, that fact may actually pi$$ me off more than the UMC delays themselves. Personally, since the announcement of this behemoth I am more anticipating this than the UMC anyway. I can always go out and get an Onkyo or something, but nothing on the market can compete with the XPR (as loosely spec'ed) at this price point.
When does the pre-order get started???

Maybe it is a bad picture, but they look cheap. For 12k you would expect more.

How many people out there have an under-the-tv rack that has room for this monster? That's my biggest concern right now being that it's so tall. I have a center channel sitting on top of what should be a tv stand for a 60 inch LCD tv, and use the shelves under it for my equipment, but it doesn't nearly have the shelf space for this thing.

You're thinking about this wrong. The XPR-7 can be your TV stand...
