Can anybody from the Emofest remember roughly what the prices of the cables were that Big Dan was talking about? I'm trying to put some cabling needs together and would like a general idea. Big Dan said that he would get the prices on some of the cables and get them available to us. Let's hope that this will jog his memory and he'll get it done. Can't blame him "if" he were to forget and he and all the rest of the Emo Staff were kept constantly busy answering questions being fired at them from all directions. Tremendous job they did, all I can do is echo what everyone else is saying. Who's getting ready for next year?

What kind of power cable connection is that on the amp side? Seems like it's hardwired... is it because it's a prototype or first generation? No, the cord is not that way as a prototypoe but due to the amperage requirements of the XPR-7, it is a requirement (or something along that line). The same question was asked of Big Dan and his response was that they were not allowed to use the plug-in cable frequented by all their other equipment.

It has lots of powerful components inside. A 3300 V/A Toroidal Transformer, 110 pounds net weight.

Interesting, I didn't even think to ask about that since I figured it was a prototype oddity. I guess even a C19 socket is only rated for 16A. I wonder how the plugs will work for people who do want to run 220V since the normal 5-15 plug is not meant for that voltage.

Loserwife and I just got home. We had one hell of a damn good time. A lot of events from the weekend "never happened". I just want to say THANK YOU to all of the staff from Emotiva. You guys really know how to throw a great party. I'm quite sure every one of you are totally spent. You definitely earned some rest. I'd also like to give a special thanks to *bleep*! You were an extremely gracious host for putting up with us the entire weekend. Even when I was quite sure you'd rather have gone home for some much needed sleep. ;D Also, for making our weekend "memorable", a really special THANKS to Doug, Steve and Judd. You guys are a blast! Oh, and Judd is officially crowned the "King of Emofest" for reasons that shall not be discussed, EVER.

I just got home myself. All I can say is WOW. Emotiva sure knows how to throw a party. I posted some crappy iPhone pics on the Emotiva Facebook page. I know they're not that great, but of course I forgot my camera.

I agree that a HUGE THANKS are in order to many at this event. Dan and Cathy went all out and were fantastic hosts. They really put on one heck of a special event. Thanks to Lonnie, who I know answered tons of questions and likely the same questions over and over. Thanks to Nick who put up with Steve and myself pestering him non stop about hooking stuff up and putting on a "fireworks" show. Thanks to everyone else that was part of the Emotiva Staff for working non-stop during the event. I don't think I ever saw Chris stop loading stuff into cars or helping out in other ways. That man deserves a day of rest for sure.
To Mr. *bleep*, thanks for taking us out on the town and showing us how much of a blast Franklin and Nashville are. I think the most memorable moment was when Dann looked at us and said, and I quote, "I know a place that is kind of redneck and a little sketchy". Well you can only imagine how our night went from there.
A big thanks to Doug917 for driving Steve and myself to the event and being the taxi for a couple of nights.
This weekend out on the town wouldn't have been what it was with out majorloser and loserwife. 2 of the best people to hang out and party with. A blast for sure.
Last, but not least, thanks to everyone who made the trip. It was great to meet many of you and see everyone show their support for a great company. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

I wanted to say that Emofest was a sensational success. Big Dan and Cathy spared no expense in making this a first class celebration. They bent over backward to make sure every single person's needs were considered. I suffer from a debilitating disease that requires I never go longer than 15 minutes without elevating my legs. To my surprise, when I walked in the front door, a very nice, infinitely adjustable wheel chair was brought out for me to use for the weekend. I was also given unfettered access to the big, over stuffed recliner in the HT room to rest my legs (elevated of course). The entire Emotiva staff was extremely accommodating to everyone; and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The whole staff did a tremendous job of showing us the facilities and playing with all the Emotiva toys. They very patiently showed us all the equipment and answered all of our questions.
I would like the whole staff to know how special I think each and everyone of them is and I think you deserve a lot of praise for the superb job you did in hosting all of us. No wonder Emotiva is first class in all that it does. THANKS, AGAIN! ;D

I'm still in shock and awe over how great the fest was. I know it's been said before, but the event was truly first class. I cannot wait for next year

I just want to say that from reading everything, Emo is one fantastic company and group of people and it just reinforces my perception of them - makes me even more glad and proud I went nuts and bought so much of their gear this year! That is absolutely fantastic the way they took care of everyone who attended. That truly says a lot about the company.
