I really wish I could have been there but thanks to everyone who posted about their experiences. I just want to say that from reading everything, Emo is one fantastic company and group of people and it just reinforces my perception of them - makes me even more glad and proud I went nuts and bought so much of their gear this year! That is absolutely fantastic the way they took care of everyone who attended. That truly says a lot about the company. Hey, that's exactly what I was going to say! ;D ;D ;D

Did anyone go home with one? Nope, still some small house keeping items to square away, and the UMC-1 will be ready. It does sound great too. One was in the test room, one in the Theater room. The UMC-1 lives too.

I wanted to say that Emofest was a sensational success. Big Dan and Cathy spared no expense in making this a first class celebration. They bent over backward to make sure every single person's needs were considered. I suffer from a debilitating disease that requires I never go longer than 15 minutes without elevating my legs. To my surprise, when I walked in the front door, a very nice, infinitely adjustable wheel chair was brought out for me to use for the weekend. I was also given unfettered access to the big, over stuffed recliner in the HT room to rest my legs (elevated of course). The entire Emotiva staff was extremely accommodating to everyone; and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The whole staff did a tremendous job of showing us the facilities and playing with all the Emotiva toys. They very patiently showed us all the equipment and answered all of our questions. I would like the whole staff to know how special I think each and everyone of them is and I think you deserve a lot of praise for the superb job you did in hosting all of us. No wonder Emotiva is first class in all that it does. THANKS, AGAIN! ;D I really wish I could have been there but thanks to everyone who posted about their experiences. Just got my first look at the thread after getting home. Thanks to everyone at Emotive, especially Dann G. Great to meet you all, Roadrunner, Doug, Vince, Steve, Judd, Tom, Major Loser, etc., etc. Thanks for the memories. (Even the ones I'm trying to forget.) And a great time was had by all...

I am sad I couldn't make it... It sounded like everyone had a fantastic time!
The good news... I will see many of the EMO-Folks in a month at the Rocky Mountain Audiofest!

Man O man... Well I'm glad that all you attendees had such a wonderful time at EmoFest. I'm a little envious. - OK I'm a lot envious! Sounds like it was a blast to get together and meet the makers of such fine audio products. I wish I didn't live so far from Franklin Tenn. To get any further I'd need to move to Alaska...well if I wanted to stay in the USA. However they will have a presence at the Oregon Coast AudioFest - or whatever its called. Might have to take a trip down the Coast next month so I can at least get some of the 'flavor' of EmoFest. Or perhaps take home a UMC-1? That would be nice! One question about the XPR - it looks to have 2 channels of binding posts for each amp channel - can they be split? Maybe I missed something posted earlier but I don't recall it being 14 channels.

I'm still jacked up on caffeine pills and energy drinks today. What a great weekend (even with the car incident). hopefuly I'll get a chance to go through my photos and start some threads in other forums this week. I would have never thought you could fit that many people into the Emotiva offices. Everywhere you looked there was gear either on static display or hooked up and running. And the stuff that was running was all available for the attendees to play with. Every speaker and every amp was hooked up for comparisons. There was all sorts of music and movie material played (though maybe too much Steely Dan - jk). The food was awesome and the entertainment was outstanding. (Though I was disappointed that I didn't catch Zigzag behind the stage burning one between sets) There was four different versions of the UMC-1 available for inspection; three earlier pre-production models and the final version. Two were hooked up so attendees could go through the menus and see how they performed with different source materials. One was set up as a static display in the "museum room" along side all of the past and present Emotiva gear. And the last was a opened up so everybody could see the internal circuits. All four of these poor units were fondled in ways that a piece of consumer electronics just shouldn't be exposed to. By the end of Sunday evening the poor UMC-1 remote controls and front knobs were covered in a sticky residual from all the fondling. I would say they passed the ultimate in stress testing over the two day weekend. Not even once was there any glitch, error or problem. They performed flawlessly. The hit of the show was the small ERM-6.2 bookshelf speakers. They made quite a few people stop and listen to how well balanced and precise a bookshelf can be. Paired with the small 10" powered Emotiva subwoofer, the USP-1 and the ERC-1 in the two-channel room was a real eye opener for those who had not previously heard Emotiva's speakers. I guess the real proof that this was a successful event was the amount of boxes rolled out to awaiting cars. The guys who pulled stock out of the warehouse really earned their money over the weekend! I wish I would have taken a "before and after" picture in the warehouse just to show the amount of stock that went out. But who could pass up some of the awesome deals.

I just can't stress how good of a time I had at Emofest! Dan, Cathy, and crew took such great care of us during the day and Dann G. had something new and exciting waiting for us every night at some really cool venues.
Kind of bummed out I'm gonna have to wait a full year before seeing everyone again.

I These are some awesome sounding speakers. Crisp, clear and precise. A hidden WOW that gets overshadowed by the 6.3s and 8.3s. I love em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

I'm dying to get my 6.2's hooked up...but realistically, I'm probably looking at this weekend before I can get to it.

I'll add my thanks and congratulations to all for a great weekend. It was a real treat in every way, but mostly in meeting so many great people who share this craziness. I agree wholeheartedly on the 6.2's. I bought one (at a great deal less the $50 certificate!) for my center channel over a 6.3 after listening and speaking with Lonnie, who said unless you have a large room, the 6.2s are fine. To my surprise, I found myself spending more time in the two channel listening room than the theater and got inspired to revisit my two channel listening with a B-stock XPA-2 and USP-1, which I had absolutely no intention of even considering when I went up there. Can't wait to get them set up. Thanks again for a helluva show, Emo!
