Can anyone comment on ERM vs. the 6.2 (when using a sub)? Obviously deeper mid bass, but is it worth the extra $$?

I'll add my thanks and congratulations to all for a great weekend. It was a real treat in every way, but mostly in meeting so many great people who share this craziness. I agree wholeheartedly on the 6.2's. I bought one (at a great deal less the $50 certificate!) for my center channel over a 6.3 after listening and speaking with Lonnie, who said unless you have a large room, the 6.2s are fine. To my surprise, I found myself spending more time in the two channel listening room than the theater and got inspired to revisit my two channel listening with a B-stock XPA-2 and USP-1, which I had absolutely no intention of even considering when I went up there. Can't wait to get them set up. Thanks again for a helluva show, Emo! Next you'll have to break out some of that vinyl that's collecting dust! I'm interested in your feedback of how everything sounds. Am considering a dedicated 2-channel environment in the living room now.

Can anyone comment on ERM vs. the 6.2 (when using a sub)? Obviously deeper mid bass, but is it worth the extra $$? I have a pair of ERM-1s in the bedroom so I know how they sound. Very nice.. but having heard the 6.2s over the weekend, I have to say, definitely the 6.2s are worth the extra coin. In fact, I'm now considering setting up a 2-channel system in the living room, featuring the 6.2s. To be perfectly honest, it is amazing how f-u-l-l the 6.2s sounded, especially given their size. I personally liked the 6.2s over the towers, as I thought the towers sounded a little muddy compared to the 6.2s. Emotiva has a real winner on their hands with the 6.2s.

At the current price of the ERM-1's, I can tell you the 6.2's are not twice as good but they do sound better to me. I noticed this at Emofest especially with voices (they are incredibly natural with the 6.2's).
I have the ERM-1's at home and have been using them for a long time. They will be shifting to the living room now as after hearing the 6.2's last weekend, I had to take 3 of them home with me for the dedicated HT room. I will post my impressions in my own room as well as the differences I can hear between the ERM-1's and 6.2's when I get some time this weekend.

Man O man... However they will have a presence at the Oregon Coast AudioFest - or whatever its called. Might have to take a trip down the Coast next month so I can at least get some of the 'flavor' of EmoFest. Or perhaps take home a UMC-1? That would be nice! I'm planning on heading over there myself. It's going to be a bit of a hike for me, but way closer than TN. Mark.

I had a great time and am now a very proud owner of Emotiva product. I hope you do it again next year because it was worth the 14 hour drive down. Thank you everyone.

Hopefully we can get a good assortment of Emotiva gear to complete the show.

I might've missed this, but how were the subs? It sounded like they were going to be on display at Emofest.
