You should remember that the units are produced in China. This means that every time Emotiva placed a European power cord in the box, they have to discard a US power cord. Hence my idea of the added expense. But I would rather pay Emotiva a few bucks for a proper cord, than paying $6-$8 in Denmark everytime I buy yet another Emotiva product.

Hello, I'm buying the so famous for it's performance and price, the QED Conduit mains cable. This power cord is something like Emotiva: High performance at low price. One thing you can be sure of: the mains cables that comes with gear are not good and it's always preferable to buy a dedicated high performance mains cable. With my NAD integrated I tryied a VAN DEN HUL mains cable and seemed that it was another amplifier playing!! But the problem was that the VDH mains cable costed 400 euros...

Hi Cathy, I think, to help boost Aussie sales even further, you should give us a free cap/t-shirt with every XPA-5

Hi sticknstones Thanks for the compliment. I really like this kind of foruns, it's a clever and fast way to improve your knowledge (audio in this case) and to make friends. Also a way to get free consulting...LOL Anyone who's coming to the Azores will never forget it, as the website says: "THE AZORES ISLANDS ARE NOT JUST A DESTINATION BUT A MAGICAL JOURNEY" Please note that I do not work for tourism bureau or simliar, it's just the plain truth of this place. The only think I dislike it's the distance, being islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean doesn't bring here some high end audio stuff that I really would like to see... All the best I got as far as Madeira in 2008 and keep meaning to pop out a little further.

Today's most unusual countries, Kuwait and Guadaloupe, Netherlands Antilles ( I had to look this one up on the map). I hope both countries join the Emotiva family. We welcome new countries of Greece and Japan, we shipped to both countries for the first time this week . I have also received phone calls this week from Seoul, Korea, Germany, several customers in Australia and Morten called from here in the States . During his visit, he picked up a usp-1 to take home with him, nice souvenier ;D I don't want to leave anyone out this week so here are most of the countries we quoted: India Pakistan Israel Greece several italy France several Spain Denmark several Sweden Nethlands Germany lots of new ones! Slovakia Portugal Malaysia is hot right now South Korea several Australia tons Canada Brazil Uraguay NEW Hong Kong Singapore is hot too! Dubai Mexico Ireland Uk Switzerland and of course we always receive the most from Norway! Off to dinner Takk Cathy Slovakia? Interesting, my girlfriend is from there (we are in the middle of building a house there too and will be over the 2nd week of December). Feel free to put the quotee in touch.

Nemesis,
It's really funny how you meet people all around the globe that actually been here...in this case Madeira, it's the same country after all...PORTUGAL
Madeira like Azores, are islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and are considered as Autonomous Regions with their own government and laws, of course we obey to central government in Lisbon city...
Madeira is more explored by tourist, so things are more expensive there...if you do want to see nature by itself and enjoy good food and wine and see beautiful women than come to the Azores...LOL

Yup, very similar to how the Canary Islands are to Spain I think. I know a few Portuguese (or of Portuguese origin) folks.

If you use the same prongs as in the US, it should be fine as with the higher voltage there will be less current going through the cable.

Today we added Austria to our map! Do you actually have a map with pins in it hanging on the wall at Emo World headquarters?

You're going to love that XPA-2. I enjoy mine every day listening in my bedroom system. What speakers will you be using with it?
