Cathy, It is cool to hear you get such fun from the international destinations and not a bad way to keep your geography knowledge intact. I hope you have a world map with pins on all your international conquests! ;D

Hi Cathy and all I'm from the mentioned unusual country (LOL), which is Portugal, but I live at the Azores islands, which belongs to Portugal (next to Spain). The Azores archipelago are composed by 9 islands and are located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Althow we are Portuguese because we are phisically separared from Portugal mainland we are considered autonomous regions with our own government and laws. Of course we obey to Portugal mailand government. Unfortunatelly due to our geografical position normally all items coming from abroad goes first to Lisbon city (Portugal capital city) and then takes another plane (or ship) to the Azores islands, this encreases transports to unusual prices. Nevertheless I belong to some hi fi foruns at Portugal mailand and all of them are really excited about Emotiva and are waiting for me to receive the UPA-2 to make a complete review. I believe that my review will be fantastic and that this influence them to buy Emotiva gear, but this is a forecast as I didn't receive it yet, but they are all very impressed for what they seen at the Emotiva page and can't wait for my review, in fact I can't wait too!! Also now I realised that Cathy is extremelly busy...sorry for my constant mails. Thank you for creating this section and all the best for everyone at Emotive and all this "comunity" all around... Please visit Azores at: www.azores.com

Hi sticknstones
Thanks for the compliment. I really like this kind of foruns, it's a clever and fast way to improve your knowledge (audio in this case) and to make friends.
Also a way to get free consulting...LOL
Anyone who's coming to the Azores will never forget it, as the website says:
"THE AZORES ISLANDS ARE NOT JUST A DESTINATION BUT A MAGICAL JOURNEY"
Please note that I do not work for tourism bureau or simliar, it's just the plain truth of this place.
The only think I dislike it's the distance, being islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean doesn't bring here some high end audio stuff that I really would like to see...
All the best

Hi Cathy,
With international orders encreasing, woudn't to be considered having a European power cord type instead of shipping the gear with American power cords that will not work for such countries (like mine)?
I leave here the suggestion...

We were upgraded to business class on the flight home, so that was very pleasant. :-) I haven't fully tested the USP yet, but it powers on and it looks beautiful. I have uploaded some pictures from my Florida trip: emotivalounge.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=off&action=display&thread=7567&page=1

I leave here the suggestion... That is actually a great idea. You should just buy a boatload of them, and pass on the extra expense (a few $ a piece I imagine) to the international customers.

Hi,
Actually I think it might even not have an added expense because it would have just to change the power cord on the mains end by an European type plug?
I'm considering buying a better power cord, like the QED Conduit which costs around 50 euros and it's always an upgrade from the power cords that comes with gear, in fact the What Hi fi gave it 5 stars, so it's a real upgrade...
