Hello all new to the forum and I've been enjoying myself. You guys are all so nice here and people aren't sitting around being snobish to others about their comments everyine is very supportive.
On to my question. I'm setting up a dedicated HT room in my new house but it is being built so it isn't up yet. It is a SMALL room but it's all I've got. I was curious if I should get ERM-1 or ERD-1's for surrounds.
I'll only being doing 5.1 at first. I can get a set of ERM-1's used for cheaper than the ERD's I can't find any for sale (that should probably answer my question). Please give me some opinions. Thanks
Matt

Matt, unfortunately you don't say what you have for LCR speakers, I hope they are Emotivas.
The ERD-1's are specifically designed as surrounds speakers to be placed on the walls with a four way bipole/dipole option. I have 3ea ERM-1's across the front and 2ea ERD-1's for the surrounds. If later you decide to expand to 7.1 you should get another pair of ERD-1's. Use the ERM-1's for front and center speakers. ;D

For surrounds, you can't beat the ERDs for the money. $249 per pair, how can you go wrong?

I'm sorry I didn't say I've lined up some ERM-1's used for my LCR. Ok since there is a 30 day trial I guess I can't go wrong with the ERD-1's. But now that I think of it my house won't be built but I guess I'll get them before the price goes up.
Also sorry I put this in the wrong section
