I have spoken with Nick twice about this problem and they are shrugging their shoulders. I have a Sheffield Gold CD - Harry James and His Big Band - that has a problem loading about 30% of the time. Sometimes the cd isn't completely pulled in and other times it goes all the way in but the player gives me a "no disc" message and ejects it. The CD is in perfect condition.
Anyone else had a similar problem or can try one of their Sheffield Gold CDs - particularly if they have the Harry James one - 10057-2-G
Thanks. Dick

Does it play well in other players, especially if you have one with a slot load? Is the disc thinner than an average CD that you are using?

Doug - It always played fine in my now retired Nakamichi player. It wasn't a slot type load. Also, when the CD does play on the ERC, it does great - beautiful. Looking at the CD it doesn't appear any different in thickness than others, but of course, I didn't take a caliper gauge to it.
