Well now I think I am just about there with my music system, I picked up an Oppo BDP-83 -> USP-1 -> XPA-1's -> main speakers, very happy with the sound quality playing an SACD, better than the PS3 SACD playback IMHO, only reason I did not go for the SE Oppo was that I would rather have an external DAC so I can run my squeezebox through it, or CD playback if I feel. Looking at maybe a twisted pear Buffalo 32S DAC maybe, or maybe see what emotiva has to offer in the future with its DAC. I highly recommend Oppo! they have made an excellent player, and the Emo products definitely make it shine as well Honestly sounded like the band was right in my room, Oppo does use the top end Cirrus chips for 2 channel audio, definitely makes a difference! If anyone else has a chance to hear this setup go for it, you wont be dissappointed! ;D

I have both of the 83's - the SE and non-SE. The EMO Dac is likely to be hard to beat price-wise. The only DAC close, IMHO, would be the new one from WYRED4SOUND which uses the ESS Sabre (same as TwistedPear's Buffalo), but the price is $1100-1200. Everyone expects the Emo DAC to be around $200-$300.
SACD on either 83 is so good - not quite in the league with the best of vinyl, but still so enjoyable and no record cleaning, etc. required.
