An equipment rack to deal with a bunch of UPA-1's, XPA-1's, or an XPR-7, would definately be on my list of purchases if built....

At AxponaLonnie said he was looking into designing a similar rack package that could be totally customized in configuration. Just to add to Joe's comments, Lonnie said it would be an add as you grow type of rack system, and a minimized amount of parts to keep inventory simple.

Bring them on. Current designs are either cheap, too small, too expensive, or a combination of the three. Mark.

Just waiting on my two XPA-1 Monoblocks which will be delivered on Monday to be connected to my pair of Dali Helicon 800 Full Range Speakers. The monoblocks will be installed at the bottom center of my VTI audio rack next to the Emotiva UPA-7

hey ny1pr2009 how do you like your helicon's? I've been looking at possibly the 400mk or even the 800's but figured they might be more than I need, given I will run a sub or maybe two with them. they are great looking speakers but I haven't been able to actually listen to them but i have gotten some feedback about them.

This stuff may suit some. No idea of the cost but sounds a good idea (for getting at the back)> www.avrak.com/

The design looks nice but as a structural Engineer, I have to comment that structurally it is not rigid.

when in doubt I'd say rack mount, while shelving look's functional to use, though in a rack screwed in by torx sercurity screws stops people being light fingered with your gear..

That would be pretty cool, but I don't think they should. You have to stop somewhere. I say they should make a plasma and stop there lol I know this old, but Pauly I couldn't agree more. ;D

I would say time to work towards a dedicated room for amp storage, for monoblocks..

I have the Sanus Euro three tiered unit. They can be customized so that the shelves can be twelve inches apart, necessary for some units that can get extra hot such as the Onkyo pre-pro.
