After what must have been a very, very long and stressful week I only wish to extend to the entire Emotiva Staff, Owners, and Friends a moment of respite. I can only imagine what the Emotiva workplant was like last week. Ignoring strictly work related duties it is the emotivaotional (emotiva + emotion = emotivaotional) aspect of the week I would like to address.
As a new and relatively happy owner of the UMC-1 I have, without personally meeting any of you come to feel that, as a workforce, the Emotiva Team truly cares and is committed to their products and each other. I hope everyone at Emotiva can take a moment to emotionally put last week behind them and enjoy each other, your work relationships, your families and loved ones, and the fact that your products are honest attempts at allowing the user to immerse themselves in the love of music and the fantasy of film.
It is my opinion that the vast majority of Emotiva owners and those that post on your boards are intelligent and have the ability to weed out and ignore those posts and posters who either offend, or offer no value other than to criticize without valid foundation. They will soon get bored and leave if we just have the patience and maturity to ignore them.
So....to everyone I wish the best to all and hope next week is a better week.
I am now going back to my dialog edit on my job, a show that uses the UMC-1 to compare and monitor the re-recording mix in the confines of a home environment, that is after listening in a world class re-recording studio. The translation to the home theater with the UMC-1 is excellent, thank you very much Emotiva.
