I was wondering if i can use the XPA3 as a two channels because i am looking for 200 watts x 2 and emo doesnt have any 200 watts two channels and the xpa2 is a little overboard. I could consider the UPA1 but for now just wondering about the xpa3 for two channel.
thanks

The XPA-3 should be fine for 2 channel. Do you already have one? If not, I would consider getting two UPA-1s if your rig was purely 2 ch. The UPA-1s would be better for 2 channel. But if you were later going to integrate this system into a HT setup then it might be better to get the XPA-3 for the front 3 and then a UPA-2 for surrounds. Either way you'll have a good setup.

I'm running the XPA-3 with only two channels with no problems. Once in a while I plan to rotate the spare channel in so the electronics get broken in, but that's just me. I was in the same boat as you, wanted 200 watts and the UPA-1 wasn't on the horizon yet. It might be a while yet too, it depends on your time frame.

If you do not already have the XPA-3 then I would definitely opt for 2 UPA-1's instead! This would give you the sonic benifit of Mono Blocks and the 200 watts per channel you are looking for. Yeah, Mono Blocks.... That's it...
