Does anyone know if the UMC-1 will decode 24/192 DTS-MA?
The specs page seems rather sparse on actual performance specs, and a search for 24/192 seems to reveal nothing.
Cheers from Singapore!

Curious as to what is available now at that rate. It should sound great.

Things that are available at 24/192 include Blu-ray audio discs from 2L (which sound fantastic, and include an SACD for reference), as well as the Akira Blu-ray has a 24/192 audio track. Blu-raystats.com also lists Casablanca as having a 192 Khz mono track, and the Neil Young Archives (Blu-ray) are mastered at 24/192 as well.
My question wouldn't be if the UMC-1 can decode this, as I'm certain that it can, but if it can apply all of the room correction features to a bitrate that high, as many receivers and processors can not.

Yes, our system can not only decode 24/192, but it has the horse power to still retain and apply all post processing and room corrections. This was one of the main reasons for using the dual Cirrus solution. A long time ago we looked into all the other solutions out there and although they are good, they just couldn't meet this one requirement which is why we went the direction we did.

I've played the 2L "The Nordic Sound" sampler and the Edvard Grieg Piano Concerto Blu-ray discs which both have 5.1 multi channel 192kHz 24 bit options through the cheapy Onkyo 707 with no problems. I would hope the UMC-1 can do the same. In fact the 707 has no trouble adding the DSX wide speakers.

To the best of my knowledge, we have the only solution that will take it native and still post process.

Is the Onkyo lying to me? I guess you really can't tell what is going on inside.

Its not lying to you, it is just showing what the incoming the incoming stream. What it is doing inside is a whole different ball game.
